From Distrust to Direct Civic Action

Fellow Nigerians,

One of the greatest challenges facing national development is the loss of public trust.

When people see abandoned projects, poorly managed resources, inflated costs and repeated promises without results, confidence in collective action suffers.

RevNig exists to promote a different approach.

Our ambition is to organise more than 20 million Nigerians who can participate collectively in democratic activities, community development and productive economic initiatives.

Through Plan D, RevNig will establish frameworks that enable members to participate in selecting eligible projects, choosing accountable project leadership where appropriate, and monitoring implementation.

Under Plan D2, members will nominate and select community development projects through transparent online polling and voting.

They will also nominate and elect qualified individuals to coordinate approved projects.

Contributions will be directed through appropriately established financial arrangements, with clear responsibilities, safeguards and reporting requirements.

The objective is to enable contributors and beneficiary communities to understand:

  • What is being funded,
  • Who is responsible for implementation,
  • How contributions are managed,
  • What progress has been achieved,
  • And how the results can be verified.

Give Where Impact Is Visible

RevNig will encourage responsible, voluntary contributions towards approved initiatives with clear objectives and transparent accountability.

Support must not depend on blind trust.

It must be supported by reliable information, responsible financial management and measurable results.

Transparency will build confidence. Accountability will protect contributions. Visible results will strengthen collective action.

Why Direct Giving Matters

A nation becomes stronger when citizens participate not only in democratic activities but also in practical community development.

Direct civic giving enables Nigerians to contribute voluntarily towards projects that address identifiable needs and deliver measurable public benefits.

Through Plan D2, RevNig will establish a framework in which members can select eligible community projects through transparent online polling and voting.

Members will also nominate and elect qualified individuals to coordinate approved projects.

These individuals or committees may manage project-specific contributions directly through appropriate, legally compliant financial arrangements, subject to established accountability safeguards.

Direct giving does not mean unrestricted transfers to personal accounts.

It means ensuring that contributions reach their intended purposes through transparent and properly authorised arrangements.

Three Distinct Funding Purposes

RevNig will distinguish between:

  • Organisational Contributions: Voluntary support for RevNig’s approved operations and activities.
  • Community Project Donations: Contributions towards approved development projects under Plan D2.
  • Enterprise Support: Contributions or other approved financial arrangements supporting eligible initiatives under Plan D3, including the proposed revolving enterprise fund.

Candidate-specific political contributions under Plan D1 will remain separate and must follow applicable electoral requirements and appropriate campaign funding channels.

Every contributor must be informed of the intended purpose and applicable conditions before making a contribution.

The objective is simple: contributions must reach their intended purposes, be managed responsibly and produce results that can be independently verified.

Direct giving will therefore be guided by transparency, accountability and respect for contributors’ intentions.

“People contribute more willingly when they can clearly see both the problem and the solution.”

What RevNig Encourages Nigerians to Support

RevNig will encourage voluntary support for initiatives that address genuine community needs, promote productive economic activity and deliver measurable public benefits.

These initiatives will fall principally within two development programmes.

Plan D2 — Community Development Projects

Under Plan D2, members will participate in nominating and selecting eligible community projects through transparent online polling and voting.

Potential projects include:

  • Education and learning facilities,
  • Primary healthcare initiatives,
  • Community water and sanitation,
  • Food security and agricultural development,
  • Local infrastructure improvements,
  • Skills development,
  • And other projects capable of delivering measurable community benefits.

Members will also nominate and elect qualified individuals to coordinate approved projects.

Every project must have a clearly defined purpose, an appropriate budget, identifiable management and transparent reporting arrangements.

Plan D3 — Innovation and Productive Enterprise

Under Plan D3, RevNig will establish a framework for supporting eligible enterprises and innovations capable of creating employment, improving productivity and generating sustainable economic value.

Potential initiatives include:

  • Youth-led enterprises,
  • Agro-processing and food production,
  • Renewable energy,
  • Technology addressing practical Nigerian problems,
  • Research and innovation,
  • Skilled trades and light manufacturing,
  • And other productive, job-creating activities.

Eligible proposals will undergo appropriate professional assessment before proceeding to member selection.

Where repayable enterprise support is provided, recovered capital will be returned to a dedicated revolving enterprise fund and made available for further approved initiatives, subject to the applicable funding arrangements.

Standards for Every Supported Initiative

Before any project or enterprise receives support, contributors must be able to understand:

  • What is being funded,
  • Why the initiative is needed,
  • Who will benefit,
  • Who is responsible for implementation,
  • How contributions will be managed,
  • What outcomes are expected,
  • And how progress and expenditure will be verified.

RevNig will establish appropriate selection, financial management and accountability procedures before the relevant programmes begin accepting contributions.

Every contribution must have a clear purpose. Every supported initiative must be accountable. Every reported result must be verifiable.

Why Small Contributions Matter

RevNig believes that the collective strength of organised Nigerians can create opportunities far greater than what most individuals could accomplish alone.

Our ambition to organise more than 20 million Nigerians provides a foundation for demonstrating the potential of voluntary collective contributions.

Imagine participating members contributing just ₦1,000 monthly towards approved community development projects.

No member will be required to contribute. The amount is an illustration of voluntary giving, not a membership fee.

The Potential of 20 Million Members

If one million members contribute ₦1,000 monthly, their combined contributions will amount to ₦1 billion every month, or ₦12 billion annually.

If five million members — representing 25% of RevNig’s target membership — contribute the same amount, the total will reach ₦5 billion monthly, or ₦60 billion annually.

If ten million members participate consistently, the annual total will reach ₦120 billion.

And if all 20 million members contribute ₦1,000 monthly, the mathematical potential will reach ₦240 billion annually.

These figures are illustrative calculations, not fundraising forecasts. Actual contributions will depend on participation, affordability, applicable requirements and the financial arrangements established for approved initiatives. The figures are before administrative costs and other expenses.

From Small Contributions to Visible Results

Through Plan D2, members will participate in choosing eligible community development projects and electing qualified individuals to coordinate their implementation.

Contributions will be directed through approved financial arrangements with clear reporting and accountability procedures.

The combined resources could support initiatives such as:

  • Community water and sanitation,
  • Educational facilities and learning resources,
  • Primary healthcare improvements,
  • Agricultural and food security projects,
  • And other practical community development initiatives.

The amount available to each project will depend on its approved budget, actual contributions received and implementation requirements.

Funds contributed to a particular project must be used according to the terms communicated to contributors.

The Power of Collective Action

A modest individual contribution may appear insignificant.

But when millions participate voluntarily, the combined financial potential can be substantial.

The objective is not simply to raise large sums.

It is to establish a trustworthy system through which contributors understand what they are supporting, members participate in selecting eligible projects and communities can verify the results.

Small Contributions. Collective Responsibility. Visible Results.

The Difference Between Charity and Nation-Building

Charitable giving can provide essential relief to people facing immediate difficulties.

Nation-building goes further by seeking lasting improvements in communities, institutions and economic opportunities.

RevNig recognises the value of both.

However, the principal objective of Plans D2 and D3 is to establish sustainable systems that enable Nigerians to address practical problems collectively.

Under Plan D2, members will participate in selecting community development projects that deliver measurable public benefits.

Under Plan D3, eligible enterprises and innovations will receive consideration for appropriate support, including repayable financing through the proposed revolving enterprise fund.

These initiatives will prioritise:

  • Sustainable development,
  • Measurable outcomes,
  • Productive empowerment,
  • Responsible financial management,
  • Community participation,
  • And continuing accountability.

From Immediate Assistance to Lasting Opportunity

A community water project can provide lasting access to clean water.

An educational initiative can improve learning opportunities.

A productive enterprise can create employment and strengthen local economic activity.

And a properly managed revolving enterprise fund can make recovered capital available to support additional entrepreneurs.

These examples demonstrate how carefully selected initiatives can produce benefits beyond the original contribution.

The objective is not to create permanent dependence on donations.

It is to strengthen the capacity of individuals and communities to become more productive, resilient and self-reliant.

True nation-building combines compassion with responsibility, opportunity with accountability, and collective contributions with lasting results.

Transparency Must Remain Non-Negotiable

RevNig recognises that public confidence cannot be sustained through promises alone.

It must be earned through transparent procedures, responsible financial management and results that can be independently verified.

Every project or programme receiving public contributions under RevNig’s proposed development framework must operate under clear accountability requirements.

Transparency in Project Selection

Under Plan D2, members will participate in selecting eligible community development projects and electing qualified individuals to coordinate their implementation through transparent online polling and voting.

Under Plan D3, eligible enterprise proposals will undergo professional assessment before proceeding to member selection.

These processes must be governed by published criteria, appropriate safeguards and fair participation procedures.

Transparency in Financial Management

Before contributions are accepted, every approved initiative must clearly disclose:

  • The purpose of the contribution,
  • The approved funding target or budget,
  • The individuals or organisations responsible for managing the funds,
  • The authorised receiving arrangements,
  • The applicable financial safeguards,
  • And the procedures for reporting expenditure and progress.

Project contributions must be received through properly established and legally compliant financial arrangements.

Member-elected project managers must not treat community funds as personal assets.

Under Plan D3, repayable enterprise support must be governed by written agreements establishing the funding amount, repayment obligations and accountability requirements.

Recovered capital will be returned to the designated revolving enterprise fund according to its approved rules.

Transparency in Implementation

Contributors and participating members must have access to appropriate information showing:

  • What was raised,
  • What was spent,
  • What progress has been achieved,
  • What challenges remain,
  • And what outcomes have been verified.

Reporting arrangements must respect legitimate privacy and commercial confidentiality requirements.

Independent Verification and Accountability

RevNig will establish procedures for appropriate independent review, financial verification and the investigation of credible complaints.

Where serious misconduct is established, corrective action must follow the applicable agreements and legal requirements.

Members and contributors must have appropriate channels for raising concerns about project management.

No Unrestricted Control. No Hidden Expenditure. No Unaccountable Management.

The objective is to ensure that contributions are handled responsibly, approved projects remain open to scrutiny and reported achievements can be verified.

Public trust must be earned continuously through transparency, integrity and accountability.

“Public trust survives only where transparency remains stronger than ambition.”

Why Direct Civic Support Strengthens Democracy

Democracy becomes stronger when citizens recognise that their responsibilities extend beyond voting during elections.

Active citizenship also involves participating in community decisions, demanding accountability, monitoring public resources and supporting initiatives that improve people’s lives.

RevNig believes that responsible civic participation in community development can help strengthen the democratic values Nigeria needs.

Building a Culture of Participation

Under Plan D2, members will participate in nominating and selecting eligible community projects through transparent online polling and voting.

They will also nominate and elect qualified individuals to coordinate approved projects.

These activities will provide opportunities for members to practise important democratic principles, including:

  • Informed participation,
  • Fair and transparent decision-making,
  • Responsible leadership selection,
  • Respect for collective decisions,
  • Financial accountability,
  • And constructive oversight.

Connecting Community Accountability With Public Governance

When citizens become accustomed to asking how community contributions are managed, they may become better equipped to demand similar accountability from public officials.

The questions are fundamentally the same:

  • What resources are available?
  • Who is responsible for managing them?
  • What results were promised?
  • How much has been spent?
  • What has actually been achieved?
  • And who is accountable when things go wrong?

These are questions Nigerians must be empowered to ask at every level of governance.

Strengthening the RevNig Democratic Framework

RevNig’s Plans A, B and C focus on organising citizens, protecting electoral integrity and promoting credible leadership.

Plan D complements these objectives by encouraging continued civic participation and practical community development.

The plans are interconnected and can operate concurrently.

Citizens do not need to wait for electoral victories before organising responsibly to improve their communities.

At the same time, voluntary community contributions must never replace government’s responsibility to provide essential public services.

A Strong Democracy Requires More Than Elections

It requires informed citizens, accountable institutions, responsible leadership and sustained public participation.

When Nigerians practise transparency and accountability in their communities, they can help strengthen the democratic culture needed throughout the country.

Development becomes more sustainable when citizens participate actively rather than waiting passively for political rescue.

The Economic Importance of Civic Contribution

Nigeria possesses enormous human potential, entrepreneurial talent and natural resources.

Yet many communities continue to face inadequate infrastructure, limited economic opportunities, unemployment and insufficient support for productive initiatives.

RevNig believes that organised citizens can help address some of these challenges through voluntary contributions, collective decision-making and accountable development programmes.

Strengthening Community Development

Under Plan D2, RevNig will establish a framework through which members can support eligible community development projects.

These projects may improve the conditions necessary for economic activity by providing better access to:

  • Community infrastructure,
  • Clean water and sanitation,
  • Educational facilities,
  • Primary healthcare,
  • Agricultural development,
  • And practical skills training.

Well-selected and properly managed community projects can improve living conditions while creating opportunities for greater productivity.

Supporting Enterprise and Job Creation

Under Plan D3, RevNig will promote eligible enterprises and innovations capable of generating sustainable economic value.

The programme will encourage initiatives that can:

  • Create employment opportunities,
  • Improve agricultural production and processing,
  • Expand local manufacturing,
  • Develop useful technologies,
  • Strengthen small businesses,
  • And reduce barriers to productive entrepreneurship.

Enterprise proposals will undergo appropriate professional assessment before proceeding to member selection.

RevNig will also work towards establishing a revolving enterprise fund through which eligible businesses may receive repayable financial support under properly documented agreements.

As repayments are received, recovered capital will become available for further approved initiatives, subject to the fund’s governing rules.

This approach is intended to extend the productive use of available resources beyond a single funding cycle.

The Economic Value of Trust

Money alone does not guarantee development.

Resources must be combined with responsible management, competent implementation and measurable results.

When contributors can verify how their funds are used, confidence in collective initiatives can grow.

When communities participate in choosing projects, development priorities can better reflect identified local needs.

And when viable enterprises receive appropriate support, they may generate employment, increase production and contribute to broader economic activity.

Complementing Government Responsibilities

RevNig’s development initiatives will not replace government’s obligation to provide infrastructure, public services and a supportive economic environment.

Instead, they will demonstrate how organised citizens can contribute constructively while continuing to demand responsible governance.

The economic impact of each initiative will depend on its viability, available funding, implementation quality and measurable outcomes.

Nigeria’s economic transformation will require responsible leadership, productive enterprise, accountable institutions and the collective efforts of its people.

RevNig will work to bring these elements together through organised civic participation and transparent development initiatives.

A society that learns to organise honestly eventually learns to prosper sustainably.

How This Completes the RevNig Framework

RevNig’s approach to Nigeria’s transformation is built around four interconnected plans.

Each plan addresses an important aspect of the country’s democratic, leadership and development challenges.

Together, they provide a framework for organised citizens to participate in shaping Nigeria’s future.

Plan A — Mobilising and Organising Nigerians

Plan A focuses on mobilising and organising Nigerians to recognise and exercise their collective democratic power.

It encourages informed civic participation, voter engagement and coordinated action at national, state and local levels.

Plan B — Protecting Electoral Integrity

Plan B focuses on strengthening electoral integrity and encouraging citizens to participate responsibly in protecting democratic processes.

Its objective is to help ensure that the people’s electoral choices are respected.

Plan C — Promoting Credible Leadership

Plan C focuses on identifying, encouraging and supporting credible Nigerians who demonstrate the competence, integrity and commitment required for responsible public leadership.

It seeks to strengthen citizens’ ability to evaluate leadership qualities and make informed electoral choices.

Plan D — Sustaining Democratic Participation and Practical Development

Plan D complements the first three plans by encouraging continued democratic participation and practical contributions to community and economic development.

Its principal programmes include:

  • Plan D1: Encouraging lawful, voluntary support for credible candidates through appropriate candidate-specific campaign funding arrangements.
  • Plan D2: Enabling members to nominate and select eligible community development projects, elect qualified project coordinators and support approved initiatives through transparent contribution arrangements.
  • Plan D3: Promoting eligible enterprises and innovations through professionally assessed proposals, member participation and appropriate financial support, including the proposed revolving enterprise fund.

These programmes will operate under distinct financial arrangements and accountability requirements.

Four Plans. One Collective Purpose.

RevNig’s plans are designed to reinforce one another.

Organised citizens can participate more effectively in democratic processes.

Stronger electoral integrity can improve the prospects for credible leadership.

Responsible leadership can help create conditions for sustainable development.

And practical community development can strengthen public confidence in collective civic action.

Importantly, these plans can operate concurrently.

Nigerians do not need to wait for electoral victories before participating responsibly in community development or supporting productive initiatives.

RevNig’s ultimate objective is to empower organised Nigerians to strengthen democracy, promote responsible leadership and contribute to the country’s long-term transformation.

Yes We Will.

That is how nations rise permanently.

A Final Call to Nigerians

Fellow Nigerians,

Nigeria’s transformation will require more than promises, political campaigns and periodic elections.

It will require organised citizens who are prepared to participate responsibly in democratic activities, support credible leadership and contribute to practical initiatives that improve people’s lives.

RevNig believes that Nigerians possess the collective strength, knowledge, resources and determination to help build a better country.

Our ambition is to organise more than 20 million Nigerians around this shared purpose.

Through Plan D, we will encourage voluntary contributions towards eligible community development projects and productive economic initiatives, supported by transparent selection procedures, responsible financial management and measurable accountability.

We will encourage Nigerians at home and in the diaspora to participate in ways that are lawful, appropriate and consistent with their circumstances.

Give Where Impact Is Visible

Support initiatives that address genuine needs.

Contribute voluntarily where clear financial safeguards and accountability arrangements exist.

Participate in choosing projects that can improve communities.

Encourage productive ideas that can create employment and economic opportunities.

Demand transparency from everyone entrusted with collective resources.

And never underestimate the power of millions of Nigerians working together towards clearly defined objectives.

Our Collective Responsibility

RevNig will work to establish the structures necessary for responsible participation, transparent contributions and accountable implementation.

As these programmes become operational, members and supporters will be informed about approved opportunities, applicable contribution arrangements and the safeguards governing them.

No Nigerian should feel compelled to contribute financially.

Every Nigerian can contribute something valuable through civic participation, knowledge, skills, responsible leadership or constructive community engagement.

Our strength will come not simply from the money we raise, but from the integrity of our systems, the quality of our decisions and the results we achieve together.

Give Responsibly. Participate Actively. Demand Accountability. Build Nigeria Together.

Nigeria’s future must not be left to chance.

With unity, discipline, transparency and determination, organised Nigerians can help create the conditions for lasting national transformation.

Yes We Will.
